Tam Nguyen
PhD Researcher
Hi! Thank you for visiting my website.
I am Tam Nguyen, a PhD student in Management at Dublin City University Business School, and a scholar of Lero, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Software.
I earned a master's degee in Human Resource Management with Distinction from Trinity College Dublin and a bachelor’s degree in International Business Economics from Hanoi Foreign Trade University. I also possess 7+ years of professional experience in diverse areas, including recruitment, training and business consulting.
My current research is at the intersection of organisational behaviour, information systems management and technology ethics. I explore issues related to public trust in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Algorithmic Decision-making Systems across various contexts. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, I seek to understand what factors influence public trust in this evolving technology and how trust affects citizens’ relationships with governments and organisations. My research will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of trust generation in AI and provide policymakers, managers and practitioners with actionable insights to fully harness the value of AI in decision-making while also preserving and extending human trust.
Other research interests include people analytics, digital transformation, and the future of work.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I am a part-time blogger, podcaster, and scholarship mentor. I enjoy sharing my experience related to PhD journey, study tips, and personal development on my blog Tea with Tam. You can also catch me creating content on my YouTube and Podcast channels.
